What will students be learning as we begin our remote “Continuity of Learning” due to COVID-19 school closure?
Teachers will be working hard to provide content & skills instruction. HOWEVER, here are 7 of the most important things I hope students will learn from teachers:
1. Life will always throw us curve balls, but with the right mindset, we adapt and keep going!
2. Collaboration is one of the keys to success!
3. No one is perfect!!! We are going to make mistakes, tech will fail but it’s ok, we are trying.
4. We admit our mistakes & failures. We learn from them & use them to improve and grow.
5. The balance between work and home life is important. I know students will be seeing or hearing my son in the background (or foreground) of lessons.
6. We love being teachers. I hope that students see our dedication to our profession and are inspired to seek careers that ignite their passions.
7. In case they didn’t know it before, I hope they learn that we care about them... A LOT!
